“I felt like I was shopping with friends at
Bella Bleu Bridal!”
Beth & James… Ft. Murray
These Pittsburgh natives both moved back to their home city in 2013, met online soon after, but were both not looking for anything too serious. Surprise surprise this did not last too long! They started dating after two weeks and said I love you after two more. That being said, they were not in any rush to get married. They dated for 6 years, moved to Chicago together, and adopted a dog (more on this adorable Golden Retriever later). Beth always said “not until I’m at least 30!” when it came to the idea of marriage. With this in mind, a week after her 30th birthday James finally popped the question.
Their wedding day, which took place at the Energy Innovation Center in Pittsburgh, could not have panned out more perfectly. The weather was gorgeous, there were fireworks to end the night, and coincidentally they were able to take stunning pictures on an empty Pittsburgh bridge that was shut down because of a baseball playoff game. Above all Beth cherished the incredible feeling of being surrounded by loved ones who were all celebrating her and James’ future together.
There are a few touching moments from the wedding that must be noted. The first one involves their dog Murray (yes, he was a part of the ceremony!). He ran down the aisle wearing a bow tie, and even let out an arf right after the last “I do”. On a more serious note, Beth and James, both having lost a parent before their wedding day, took a different approach to the typical parent dance: calling it the “Family Dance”. They invited their parents, siblings, their spouses, and their kids to join in, dancing to two songs that hold personal meaning.
Beth also had her seamstress sew a piece of her late fathers shirt into her dress the shape of a heart, placed near her own heart.
Beth, we are so happy to have played a role in helping you find your perfect dress for what sounds like the perfect day. When asked about her shopping experience Beth says: “I loved my experience at Bella Bleu! It was obvious right away how much Viviana and the team love what they do – and they’re good at it! I felt heard and seen, but never rushed or pressured. I felt like I was shopping with friends at Bella Bleu Bridal!”
A special thanks to..…
