WHAT TYPES OF GOWNS DO YOU CARRY?
We carry unique, modern bridal gowns crafted from exquisite fabrics such as silk, french lace, and hand beading. Think modern, romantic, chic styles for the stylish bride who wants something special. Most of our designer collections are exclusive to Bella Bleu Bridal in Chicago.
DO I NEED AN APPOINTMENT?
Yes. Our boutique is open by appointment only. We require appointments to try on wedding gowns and accessories. You have to schedule in advance, but you will have our undivided attention! In most cases, you will be the only bride in our shop! We want your experience to be intimate and memorable. Book your appointment HERE
WHEN SHOULD I ARRIVE FOR MY APPOINTMENT?
Please arrive on time for your appointment. Most days, we have appointments immediately prior and following your appointment. If you arrive too early, we may not be able to assist you. If you are running late to your appointment, please call and let us know. If you are over 15 minutes past your scheduled appointment time, we reserve the right to cancel your appointment and reschedule for another time.
HOW LONG ARE YOUR APPOINTMENTS?
Your first wedding gown appointment will be 75 minutes. We find that this is the perfect time to try on gowns that have caught your eye, explore your favorites and chat with your guests. If you need to sleep on it, we offer second bridal gown appointments which are 1 hour in length. In this appointment you are able to try on your favorites! We want you to be over the moon with your gown! Accessory appointments are 45 minutes in length. You are welcome to bring your gown with you.
WHAT SHOULD I BRING WITH ME TO MY APPOINTMENT?
It is helpful to bring undergarments of similar styles that you will wear on your wedding day- we recommend nude seamless underwear. In order to protect our samples, we kindly ask you the following:
-no tanning lotions or spray tans before the appointment.
-no shoes when trying on the dresses (socks are always allowed and encouraged during colder months).
It is helpful if you look through our social media and website to get a general idea of styles that you like. Our Bridal Stylist will also suggest styles that you may love!
WHO SHOULD I BRING WITH ME TO MY APPOINTMENT?
We ask that you limit your party to three (+bride) or less during your visit at Bella Bleu Bridal. We are an intimate boutique with limited seating and we have found that the opinions of a trusted few always make for an easier decision for you. Keep in mind, you want friends/family who will be honest, but you also want friends that first and foremost will be supportive. You will hear many opinions but the most valuable is your own!
WHAT IS THE PRICE RANGE OF YOUR GOWNS?
Our gowns range from $1,700–$6,000 with most of the gowns falling between $2,700–$3,200. We do have trunk show incentives several times a year.
HOW FAR IN ADVANCE DO I NEED TO ORDER MY WEDDING DRESS?
Dresses can take up to 6-8 months to produce, since it is being made to order. When you factor in shipping and alterations, it could be a 9 month total process. We suggest deciding on a gown 9-12 months before your wedding. Wedding under 6 months? Don’t fret! We can accommodate rush orders for some designers but rush fees do apply! We also may have a limited selection that can be sold off the rack. The early bird gets the worm as they say but we recommend that you not start your gown shopping until you have a wedding date and venue.
WHAT IS A TRUNK SHOW?
Bella Bleu Bridal carries an edited selection of our designers collections. A trunk show allows you to see an extended selection of that designer, usually consisting of the best sellers and new collection. Special incentives apply on purchases made during the trunk show dates only. Trunk shows only last a couple of days and appointments fill up quickly!
WILL I NEED ALTERATIONS?
We take your measurements and order your gown in the closest size possible but alterations are an essential to make sure your gown fits like a glove! Alterations that are needed may be minor but it is all part of the process in making sure your dress fits you perfectly!
WHAT SIZE ARE THE SAMPLE GOWNS?
Bridal sizing differs from street sizing and varies by designer. The majority of our samples are standard bridal sizes 10, and 12 (street size 6-10). We will work our magic with clips if the gown is too small or too large. We are currently expanding our sizes to include bridal sizes 16-22. ARE CHILDREN ALLOWED IN THE BOUTIQUE?
We have and love children but we kindly ask that you leave the kiddos and babies at home. As you already know, a shop full of white dresses, glass, mirrors and delicate items pose a safety risk for the children. Children and babies can be distracting to others in the boutique. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
WHAT IF I AM JUST LOOKING, HAVE ALREADY OR PLANNING ON PURCHASING ELSEWHERE?
Do you want to visit but aren’t looking to purchase? We understand wanting to share your choice with your friends and family due to geographical challenges! Have you already purchased or are planning on purchasing closer to home? Our time is precious but we do offer special appointments just for you (fees might apply). Please ask a Stylist for details.
