Tori and Jake: A Whimsical Michigan Wedding

Tori and Jake had a very serendipitous way of falling into each other’s lives. They were both studying at Yale University Graduate School. One day, they walked past each other on the sidewalk outside, started talking and the rest is history. Just a minute later and they would have missed each other. Truly, the beginning of a box office Romantic Comedy.

The couple could not have a more magical wedding day. They got married on August 5th, 2023 at a stunning venue called Starry Night Barn in Traverse City, Michigan with clear skies and perfect Summer weather. They shared an intimate first look before the ceremony, and, of course, they both cried. After the first look jitters subsided, Victoria and Jake were able to share their vows with their friends and family under a huge, whimsical willow tree and partied all night in the barn adorned with string lights.

When asked what the most memorable moment of the day was, Tori replied “I would have expected my favorite moment to be our first dance or looking out at the guests during the ceremony; but my favorite moment was really a collection of moments. We did not expect to receive so much love and affirmation from our family and friends and left the wedding weekend feeling so loved, grateful and full.”

When Tori came into Bella Bleu Bridal, her heart was set on purchasing a Made With Love Gown. Originally, she thought a dress called Louie Flowy was her dream dress, but as the appointment went on, and we tried on more dresses, Elsie Flowy became the front runner. She looked absolutely stunning in her gown embellished with a beautiful floral lace and the cutest bows on the straps giving her the option to switch up her look for the reception.
